Elderly man and preteen involved in wreck


ALBANY, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a man and a preteen were seriously injured in a single vehicle wreck over the weekend.

The Patrol says 70-year-old Howard Patterson of Nevada, Iowa, wrecked on 305th St., three miles northeast of Albany at 5 pm.Saturday.

Authorities say Patterson was driving a 2017 Polaris Razor that traveled off the road and overturned after he failed to turn on a curve.

Patterson experienced serious injuries, while a 12-year-old boy from Ankeny, Iowa, experienced minor injuries. Both were taken to Mosaic in Albany. Both were wearing seatbelts.
